Privacy policy
Last updated October 11, 2026.
This policy describes the current StopDooming app and this static website. It will be reviewed against the release build and hosting configuration before public launch.
Data stored on your device
StopDooming stores your mode settings, schedule settings, opaque Screen Time selection tokens, paired focus-key identifier, session state, recovery deadline, and session history locally. The app and its monitoring extension share this information through an on-device App Group to manage sessions.
What the developer receives
The app has no developer-operated backend, account system, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics service. It does not transmit your selections or session history to the developer. Apple's picker provides opaque selection tokens rather than readable app identities.
Permissions
Screen Time authorization lets the app apply restrictions to the items you select. NFC access lets you pair and scan an optional focus key. You can revoke Screen Time authorization in iOS Settings; doing so removes protection. NFC scans are initiated within the app.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until changed or removed. You can clear session history in Settings > Session history. Removing the app removes its app data, subject to iOS storage and backup behavior. Device backups are controlled by Apple and your device settings. StopDooming does not operate a cloud deletion service.
This website
The website contains no analytics scripts, tracking cookies, forms, or embedded third-party media. When hosted, the hosting provider may process request information such as IP addresses and access logs to serve and secure the website. This website is hosted by Name.com. Server access and security logs may include your IP address, request time, requested page, browser information, and referring page. Provider-managed retention follows Name.com’s hosting policies; a fixed retention period has not been confirmed. See Name.com’s privacy policy and hosting data processing addendum.
Support correspondence
A public support contact will be added before release. If you contact support, the information you choose to send will be used to answer your request. Do not send passwords or sensitive personal information.
Changes
This page will be updated if the app's data handling changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
